MARION - Daryl W. Reid, 85, of Marion, passed away at Integrity Rehabilitation and Healthcare at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024.Daryl was the son of the late D. Edgar and A. Margaret (McMaster) Reid of rural Sparta. He was born on April 28, 1939, in his mother's feather bed.He married Ella Louise (Aud), known as Eloise on August 14, 1962 in Equality.Daryl is survived by his wife, Eloise; brother, Edgar M. (Myrtha) Reid of Litchfield; nieces, Michelle (Jim) Borland of Peoria, Sandra Genet of Eldorado, Susan (Rick) Reynolds of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Debbie Bartok of Harrisburg, Mary Holm of Deland, Florida; nephews, Scott (Debbie) Aud of Harrisburg, David (Treva) Aud of Equality; and "adopted" daughters, Kim Carney (Lonny) Rhodes and Riley of Carlinville; "adopted" sister, Jane lee Carey of Virden.He was a graduate of Sparta High School in 1957, where he was active in FFA.
