ROBERTSON
Robert "Mark" Robertson, 60, of Sparta, IL; born on November 21, 1963 in Sparta, IL, the son of Robert Paul Robertson and Sharon Kay (Owens) Anderson; passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 in St. Libory, IL.
Mark was an athlete in his younger days; he enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball. Once Mark graduated from high school, he continued his education and basketball career with John A. Logan. After graduating college, Mark went to work at Menard Correctional Facility in Chester for thirty years before retiring. In that time, he worked his way up receiving the title as a Sergeant. Mark had a strict job but when away from work, he loved to travel and watch his favorite bands such as Government Mule, Drive-By Truckers, Grateful Dead, and Dead & Co. Some of his other hobbies included dove hunting and riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
